A stone-faced shaggy bison superfan out in the snow for the big game, his woolly head bare because no beanie fits over those horns, bundled in a royal-blue sweater with a little red reindeer on the chest and a blue-and-red striped scarf, one blank foam #1 hand raised because the answer was decided at birth. Behind him a floodlit stadium glows through the pines, and a fresh snowball waits at his hooves. Knitted at full ugly-Christmas density: a deep snow-white snowflake yoke, a marching band of little white bison above the hem, and a royal-blue field seeded with red and white snowflakes and a few gold sparks. The back carries a big ringed snowflake medallion with its own parade of white bison below. Royal blue and red from collar to cuff, for the fan who tailgates in weather that cancels school.
