The pattern here is made of stitches. Ten traditional designs, charted the way Nordic knitwear has been charted for two centuries, then knitted to order by our own knit program and posted to you. The line runs as a crew at $149, a vest at $119 and a dog sweater at $75, sizes 3XS to 3XL, one flat price at every size. Nothing is held in stock, so nothing sells out. The Owl runs this part of the range and would like it on record that every band is charted on a proper grid, two colours per row, before a single stitch is knitted.

Common questions

Are these really knitted, or is the pattern printed on?

Really knitted. The colour changes are yarn changes, so the pattern exists in the fabric and you can feel it from the back. Our printed designs are a separate line, on the all-over-print sweatshirts and the badge tees.

What does a knitted sweater cost?

$149 for the crew, $119 for the vest, $75 for the dog sweater. One price at every size from 3XS to 3XL, with no plus-size surcharge.

When do knitted orders close for Christmas?

November 15. Knitting to order takes longer than printing, so the knits close about four weeks before the printed range, which runs to December 11 in the USA.

Can my dog match me?

Yes, on every design in the line. The dog sweater is $75 on its own, or $199 as a set with the matching human crew.

How many knitted designs are there?

Ten: Setesdal, Selbu Stars, Selbu Bird, Icelandic Yoke, Icelandic Sheep, Fair Isle Allover, Reindeer Classic, Moose Shetland, Dala Horse and Christmas Sampler.
