Back length is the one that matters: measure from the base of the neck to the base of the tail. Chest is the fullest part just behind the front legs. Between two sizes, go up one. The smaller sizes fit cats.
The Selbu Stars pattern, scaled for the family member who sheds. A banded panel across the back in white, black, festive red and grey, a quiet knit underside, and solid ribbing at every edge. Knitted to order as real jacquard through our custom knit program, same yarns and same charts as the matching human sizes, so the household photo works.
