Spin Class: the Sitting Duck in a sweatband timing a dreidel with a stopwatch, stitched illustration

Spin Class Ugly Hanukkah Sweater: Results Under Review

Quick answer: Spin Class is our ugly Hanukkah sweater starring the Sitting Duck, our Head of Quality Control, in a sweatband, timing the dreidel with a stopwatch. It comes as an all-over-print sweatshirt ($79.99, 2XS to 6XL), a tee ($27.99, XS to 5XL), kids and toddler tees, and two couples sets, all printed to order. Order by November 23 for delivery by the first night of Hanukkah, Friday, December 4, 2026.

Quality Control timed the dreidel at 4.2 seconds. He would like a re-spin. He would also like it noted that the table has a slight lean, and that he has brought his own stopwatch to every Hanukkah since anyone can remember.

Spin Class is one of four Hanukkah designs in our range: Slow Burn has the candles, Latke Night has the latkes, Powder Day has the sufganiyot, and this one has the dreidel.

What is on the sweatshirt

The Sitting Duck sits at a small wooden table in a blue Hanukkah sweater and a blue sweatband, holding up a stopwatch with heavy-lidded patience. A plain blue dreidel spins on the table beside a small stack of chocolate coins, and warm light comes through the window behind him. On the sweatshirt, the duck and his table sit in a panel on the chest, framed by blue and cream fair-isle bands that run around the back and down the sleeves.

The Ugly Rating: 8 out of 10

8/10, “results under review.” The sweatband alone earns the 8. He gains a point for bringing sports officiating to a family game, and he would deduct one from himself for the lean of the table, but the appeal is still pending.

What the cast made of it

Capybara, Chief Festivity Officer

Spun the dreidel once, very slowly, and was told it did not count. He spun it again, slower. This went on for most of the evening and everyone enjoyed it.

Cool Cat, Head of Morale

Ran the scoreboard and hosted the after-party for the after-party. Has requested a rematch on every one of the eight nights.

Owl, Head of Knitwear

Knitted the duck a matching sweatband, then a backup sweatband, then, with no explanation, a small sweater for the dreidel.

FAQ

Why is it called Spin Class?

Because the Sitting Duck treats a game of dreidel like a training session: sweatband on, stopwatch out, results under review. It is the most competitive anyone has ever been about a spinning top.

Is it knitted or printed?

Printed. The sweatshirt is an all-over print, edge to edge, and the tees carry a knitted-look badge. Printing lets the character appear exactly as drawn. Our real knits are the traditional fair-isle line.

When should I order for the first night of Hanukkah?

By November 23 for delivery in the US by Friday, December 4, the first night. Orders up to December 11 still arrive in the US before Christmas and the later nights.

Does the price change by size?

One price at every size: $79.99 from 2XS to 6XL on the sweatshirt, $27.99 from XS to 5XL on the tee, and one price per pair on both couples sets.

Is there a kids version?

Yes. The kids tee comes in youth S to XL at $24.99 and the toddler tee in 2T to 5T at $21.99, both with the same badge as the adult tee. See every design in our Hanukkah collection.

The Festive Folks’ Verdict

Buy Spin Class for the person who keeps score at every family game and will happily explain the rules a second time. It scores an 8, it prints edge to edge, and it comes in every size from toddler to 6XL. Order by November 23 for the first night. It pairs well with Slow Burn, and the rest of the family is in our Hanukkah collection.
