Meowy Christmas is an enormous, entirely unimpressed orange cat in his own tiny reindeer sweater, caught mid-swat, with the first ornament already off the branch and on its way to the floor. He is not sorry. He was never going to be sorry.
We printed him across a whole sweatshirt, which is the only appropriate scale for him.
What is on the sweatshirt
Warm sand ground, brick-red and pine-green fair-isle bands, a cream poinsettia band across the shoulders and a row of small green and red hearts under it.
The cat sits in the middle in a red reindeer sweater that is straining slightly, one paw up at a bauble on a small decorated tree. Green and red paw prints are scattered through the field around him, going nowhere in particular.
Along the hem and down both sleeves runs a marching band of cream baubles. Because this is an all-over print, the pattern does not stop at a seam.
The Ugly Rating: 8 out of 10
The highest score in this batch. A large round cat, a dense fair-isle field, a poinsettia band and a hem full of baubles, all at once. Nothing about it is quiet and nothing about it was meant to be.
The Chief Festivity Officer gave it an 8 and noted that the cat is wearing a sweater inside a sweater, which he describes as the highest form of the craft.

Wearing a cat to the tree-trimming
Plain dark jeans, plain boots, nothing else patterned. The sand ground sits well under warm lamplight, which is where this design spends its entire life, and it holds up better than a red sweatshirt in photographs taken next to a lit tree.
The fit is a relaxed unisex sweatshirt and runs true to size. Size up for a slouchier shape, which suits a busy print. Every size is the same price, on every form.

Why is it called Meowy Christmas?
Because the cat has been at the tree since it went up, and the pun was sitting right there.
What does all-over print mean?
The design is printed onto the fabric before the garment is sewn, so it covers the whole sweatshirt including the sleeves and across the seams. A 6XL shows as much design as a Small.
Is there a cheaper version?
Yes. The badge tee is $27.99 and carries the cat as a knitted-look crest on the chest.
Is it suitable for kids?
The sweatshirt and the tee are both adult sizing. For younger sizes the kids range is printed tees, and the line-up there is a shorter list.
